All Eyes on Sainz: A Comeback in Williams

While the Hamilton move to Ferrari has taken the F1 world by storm, there's hardly any unsympathetic soul in the paddock (or in fans across the world) to Sainz's situation. In an ultimate show of sportsmanship, Sainz has been handling it with the utmost grace and character since the beginning of the 2024 season. This year's paddock drama begins with this very curated driver lineup for the FIA Drivers' Press Conference Group 2 as Carlos Sainz Jr., Lewis Hamilton, and Kimi Antonelli line up for their first Q&A of the season. While all three drivers seemed comfortable in their new colours and spoke about having high hopes for this season with their new teams, there's no denying that Carlos Sainz's goals this season in a Williams car is vastly different from that of Lewis and Kimi in their Ferrari and Mercedes, respectfully. Not Quite a Victory Lap for Christian Horner on Drive to Survive Season 7

Despite obvious censure from lawyers, Christia Horner RedBull allegation from the 2024 season finds a prominent spot on Drive To Survive season 7. The first episode titled "Business as Usual", a phrase Horner had turned to whenever asked about his role in the team at the beginning of last year, deals with the two most shocking developments in recent Formula One history, Christian Horner's scandal and Lewis Hamilton's move to Ferrari. DTS had minted a huge amount of footage during the first two races of the 2024 season, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, enough content to have a 10-episode show of its own but the Christian Horner drama is only rehashed as plotpoint one in episode one. The censure is not shied away from. The producers from Box to Box have brought exclusive footage from the exact moment the explosive email with text messages was sent out to the paddock and Horner's reaction to it all.  Even though the sources were not verified for the texts leak, Horner has ...

Carlos Sainz's Debut in Blue

Going from winning races to racing for winning points in the mid-field, if the stars align, would be a new chistening for Carlos Sainz all right. After being replaced at Ferrari by Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz's next move had the paddock in its grip. While he had held out for spots in the top teams, Mercedes and RedBull had other plans with McLaren solidly set with its own driver lineup.  While both Mercedes and RedBull driver lineup saw changes, RedBull has made some questionable choices with first, letting Checo stay as long as they did and second, replacing Checo with Liam Lawson. For surely, Carlos Sainz was a better option in terms of optics as well as performance.  Mercedes had stuck with Kimi Antonelli from the get-go. There were rumours around the paddock that it could be a simple switch with Hamilton going to Ferrari and Sainz simply moving to Mercedes but the offer never really came. Toto Wolff's plans for Kimi Antonelli were put in fast-track instead leaving George ...

Off-Season 2025 with McLaren F1 Drivers

When you're a Formula 1 Driver, off-season looks very different for you.  For the two McLaren F1 drivers for 2025, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, the scene is one of adventure and anticipation.  With the seats locked in for the season, there is little of worry on that end for the Brit and Aussie driver. But a lot is riding on their shoulders for the upcoming 2025 season. With McLaren's Constructors' Championship Win in 2024, ennding the draught since 1998, all eyes are on the team and these two drivers. Questionable Papaya Rules had sparked huge discussions last season with the team warning Lando Norris on radio about letting Oscar pass as he would need the team to win the championship. However, 2024 was not Norris' year despite having his first race win in Miami last season. Off-Season 2025 with McLaren F1 Drivers: Lando Norris and Oscar Pisatri Despite controversial circumstances, Piastri also scored his first win in Formula One in 2024 at the Hungarian GP.  While it...

The 7 time World Champion Comes Home: Hamilton's win at Silverstone

All eyes were on the British drivers — George Russell, Lewis Hamilton, and Lando Norris — coming into this weekend at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. An emotional 104th win from Lewis Hamilton was perhaps not on the cards for most Formula One pundits for the end of the first triple header of the season. Mercedes started off the weekend strong with front rows for both George and Lewis with P1 and P2, respectively. But everybody was expectant of Max still securing another win from P4. Following the Austrian GP, speculations about the Lando vs Verstappen fight was also at its peak with Lando starting from P3. George Russell, the winner of the last GP, had outqualified Hamilton for pole at both of their home GP and was riding the high of his back-to-back successful performance. This dream of back-to-back wins ended with the rain as Russell had to retire his car due to a suspected water system issue at lap 34. But there was more in store for the Brit fans and Team Mercedes as Lewis ...

“Not Could, Should Have”: Spanish GP Kicks Off First Triple Header

Spanish GP 2024 concludes the first race of the first triple header in 2024 and what a nail-bitter of a race it has been. George Russell’s surprise move in lap 1 to the absolute edge-of-the-seat action till the end of the 66 lap race for the podium — fans could not look away.  As Lando Norris gradually closed the gap between him and Max Verstappen to finally clinch the second position on the podium, fans on track and around the world watched with bated breath. While he got voted the driver of the day for the fifth time this season, Norris made it clear that he is not happy with second place anymore. The pre-season discussions had propped up the Ferrari drivers and Hamilton to be realistic challengers to Max’s stint as the World Champion. While there was support for Lando, without a win in his 5 seasons with Formula 1, he was not a realistic choice for challenging Max’s dominance on track.  Spanish GP Kicks Off First Triple Header But that all changed in 2024 as his 6th s...

Max to Mercedes or Horner Out?

A Verstappen move away from RedBull is something nobody predicted for the 2024 Formula 1 season. But unexpectedly, that’s what we’re left speculating. Following Jos Verstappen’s postulations against the recent Christian Horner scandal and very shady investigation and resultant acquittal, the RedBull paddock is alight with gossip about a possible move from Max Verstappen. While the second seat at RedBull is up for grabs in the 2025 season, as Checo’s contract hasn’t been renewed yet, Max Verstappen and RedBull Racing have become synonymous as the car keeps performing consistently and the driver cruises through victory after victory since the 2023 season. After his landslide win in 2023, the 2024 season has also begun in similar tunes where even the drivers on the grid are aiming for P2 and Max Verstappen is consistently keeping a race lead of 5+ seconds from the rest of the pack. Verstappen moving to any other team on the grid would make Formula One interesting again but it will be lucr...
